Amy Smart

Amy Smart, an American model and actress from the United States. Amy Smart was born in California and was raised in the state however, she started model career while in Italy. Her first acting role came in the year 1996 when she was a part of 'Her Costly Affair,' which was a TV film. After a very difficult transition, she landed a small character in the film Starship Troopers.' Amy struggled with the switch from modeling to acting since models are generally not considered to be good actors. Models were usually granted small, non-important roles. Yet somehow, Amy did not give up and transitioned to bigger roles eventually, starting with a series called 'The 70's as well as the movie "Varsity Blues'". In 2005, she was cast her role as lead actress in the romantic comedy called 'Just Friends'. Ryan Reynolds also played the role. Amy finally got the recognition she had been chasing for over 10 years.
